Early Life

Taylor Lautner was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, on February 11, 1992. Makena Lautner is his older sister and he is the son of Deborah and Daniel Lautner.

Lautner underwent surgery to correct scoliosis, a condition in which the spine curves abnormally, as a child. He had to wear a back brace for three years after the surgery.

Lautner was a martial arts enthusiast from a young age, beginning his karate training at the age of six. He quickly fell in love with the activity and went on to win several karate championships.

Personal Life

Growing up, Lautner was involved in sports, but he discovered his passion for acting and martial arts at the age of six. He started training in karate and won several national titles. He also started appearing in commercials and TV shows, and eventually landed his breakthrough role as Jacob Black in the “Twilight” film series.

Lautner has been in a few relationships over the years, including with actress Taylor Swift and actress Marie Avgeropoulos.

Career Life

At the age of six, Lautner made his acting debut in a Kraft national commercial. Before landing a role in the 2003 television series “The Bernie Mac Show,” he continued to appear in commercials, including one for Pizza Hut.

In the 2005 film “Cheaper by the Dozen 2,” Lautner was cast as the main character. After that, she appeared in “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D” (2005) and “Twilight” as a supporting character. After that, he played Jacob Black once more in the follow-ups “New Moon” (2009), “Eclipse” (2010), and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” (2011).

Lautner made his acting debut in the 2010 action film “Abduction,” and in 2012, he made his acting debut in the romantic comedy “The Twilight Saga: Part 2 of Breaking Dawn. He also made appearances in the films Grown Ups 2 (2013) and Cuckoo (2014–2016).

Run the Tide, in which he starred in 2016, and Tracers, in which he appeared in 2018. Additionally, he provided narration for the animated film “The Nut Job 2: “Nutty by Nature”
